Drunk Driving Cases
To learn about DUI charges and staying out of Jail, click HERE to go to the Drunk Driving section of my BLOG, where I have the largest collection of the most educational, informative articles about every aspect of DUI cases to be found anywhere. More articles are added regularly. There’s simply nothing like it on the internet. Throughout the following sections, you will find links to many of these articles relevant to the topic being discussed.
DUI cases are Criminal cases. They’re certainly a specialized kind of Criminal case, but the bottom line is that a DUI can result in a Jail sentence.
No other kind of case cuts across age, race, gender and socio-economic lines as evenly as a DUI charge. As different as any two people facing a DUI charge may be, they almost always share identical feelings of embarrassment, fear, humiliation and regret. I can help someone get past that so they can move forward in a positive direction.
What is so different about me? After all, the internet is full of attorneys from all over the Metro-Detroit area, many of whom call themselves “DUI Lawyers.” The short answer is that I produce the absolute, best results possible.
This means the least amount of consequences (that is, punishment) for the client.
Everyone wants to know if the charge they’re facing can somehow be avoided, or dismissed. If not, they want the comfort of knowing that no stone was left unturned in evaluating the evidence against them and reaching that conclusion. When someone is facing a DUI, they usually want, beyond anything else, to be able to put the matter behind them and move on.
The majority of DUI cases involve evidence that is not likely to be dismissed on some technicality. That kind of case is far more the exception, rather than the rule. Let’s be honest, if it were that easy, then no rich and famous celebrity would ever be convicted of a DUI. They’d just “Lawyer up” and buy their way out of it. That’s not how it works, however.
Short of “beating” it, a person facing a DUI charge wants, more than anything else, to avoid Jail and otherwise minimize the consequences of an instance of poor judgment. They want to avoid a difficult term of Probation, demanding Classes, Counseling or Rehab, and simply put this nightmare behind them, and be done with it.
In the next several sections, I'll explain Plea Bargains, Sentence Bargains and what can be done to get out of, or at least minimize the consequences of a DUI, whether it’s a 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd (Felony) offense.
