Home Blog Criminal Cases Why the Voice of your Lawyer is so Important

Among all the information on this site, my blog, and just about every other website on the internet, there is very little about the importance of the “voice” of a Michigan DUI lawyer. Yet or all the things you should take into account as you search for the right DUI attorney to represent you in a DUI case, the “voice” of the lawyer you select is one of the most important of all.

An important part of finding the right lawyer is finding a person with whom you are comfortable.

That said, while you’re standing in front, of the Judge, the “right” DUI lawyer MUST have an unsurpassed ability to communicate charismatically, clearly, and persuasively.

Why should you ever consider hiring a lawyer that offered less?

In some cases, it’s that voice alone that either will convince the Judge to give you break, or not.

We need to be honest here, because this is your life: A lawyer who isn’t well-spoken is pretty much like a surgeon with poor eyesight or a bad case of the shakes.

After all, isn’t the ability to captivate the listener and to speak persuasively (and that means, specifically, being able change a person’s mind) the very essence of what a competent courtroom lawyer does?

Think about that for a moment: being a persuasive lawyer means having the ability to positively influence the outcome of the case. This is a critical trait for a Michigan DUI lawyer to have when standing before a Judge.

And it’s means more than ever when it’s your fate being decided.

Knowing Michigan law and being a competent legal tactician are important attributes of a good DUI defense lawyer, but those skills alone are simply not enough.

Your lawyer is your spokesperson, and you will always be better served by someone who exceptionally charismatic and persuasive.

What good does it do to have some lawyer standing beside you whose ability to communicate anything less than spectacular?

If you need lawyer to get you out of a jam, then you need someone familiar with the particular court, Judge and the prosecutors where your case is pending. You want your lawyer how to get the best outcome there because he or she gets there regularly, and knows how things work.

These things, however, are just minimum qualifications. Above all else, you need a lawyer whose ability to speak is captivating, charismatic and persuasive.

Whatever else, you don’t want to trust you interests to a some lawyer whose communication and speaking abilities were anything less than exceptional.

Remember, you pay a lawyer to avoid as many of the legal penalties and negative consequences as possible. That’s why we always point out that success in a DUI case is best measured by what does NOT happen to you.

To get the best results, you need to find that “voice” that speaks to you. If you’re not taken by it, how likely do you think the prosecutor or Judge handling your case will be?

If there is one thing that defines me and my team as Metro-Detroit area DUI lawyers, it is the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.

The “voice” of our firm comes through loud and clear on this site, and in our blog articles. My team and I speak using that same voice.

You’ll learn that if you call around, and then call our office. No matter where you call, whoever answers your call is the “Director of First Impressions.”

If that person is not friendly and helpful, or cannot answer your questions right then and there, you’re left searching for that voice, and hoping to miraculously hear it somehow as your call gets transferred down the line

That won’t happen when you call us.

If you are looking to hire a lawyer for a Michigan DUI case anywhere in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Lapeer, Livingston, St. Clair or Washtenaw County, be a good consumer and read around, and then check around.

When you’re ready, call our office to see how we “speak” to your concerns.  We can be reached Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., at either 248-986-9700, or 586-465-1980.
